MARY SHELLEY AND FRANKENSTEIN

 


Mary Shelley was an English novelist whose work has reached all corners of the globe. When she was only 19 years old she wrote Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus (1818), which is now considered to be THE FIRST SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL in the history of literature. Her mother, who died days after her birth, was the famous defender of women's rights, Mary Wollstonecraft.
